Allan K.M. Lam

 Founder and Managing Director 

Allan has over 45 years of professional experience in the P&C insurance market, encompassing different roles in technical underwriting, loss control and agency management.  He has held senior position in a major insurance company before venturing into setting up his own agency firm, namely Sun Chong Fung.

Allan has a Master of Business Administration degree and during his tenure as an underwriter, he has received extensive overseas maritime training in Sweden, U.K and Japan.  He was particularly experienced in advising and handling high value and complex cargo claims.

Allan has now retreated from the front line and currently advises the company on strategic business directions.

Timothy Lam

Director 

Timothy currently leads a team of insurance specialists in advising risk solutions to clients of different scale and business segments.  He is also responsible to oversee the company’s operation and drive directives.  His last appointment before Sun Chong Fung was commercial insurance underwriting manager of Hang Seng General Insurance, assuming responsibility in writing the P&C risk portfolio of the bank’s commercial and institutional clients, working extensively with the bank’s insurance business development teams to drive revenue in the non-life segment.

Timothy began his insurance career in 2003 as an executive trainee at Marsh Hong Kong and subsequently ventured into areas of business development and underwriting at MSIG Insurance (Hong Kong) Ltd.

Timothy received a B.A from York University, Canada and a M.Sc from Edinburgh Napier University, UK.   He completed the Advanced Diploma in Shipping and Logistics co-organized by The Shipper’s Council and HKU and completed overseas training at the Insurance School (Non-Life) of Japan.  He is accredited as Fellow CIP of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

His core practice is advising clients in the corporate segment on marine, property and liability risks. 

Timothy speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and native in English.

Ann Kwok

Associate Director 

Ann joined Sun Chong Fung in 2018 and is responsible in servicing key accounts and advises clients particularly in the industries of media and entertainment, property development, property investment, logistics, and freight forwarding.

Prior to joining Sun Chong Fung, she has held various key roles in underwriting and business development with international insurers, financial institution and major brokerage firms.

Ann is conversant in both commercial and personal lines products.  She is very experienced in handling constructive negotiations on claims settlement and securing balanced results agreeable to insured and the risk carrier.

Calton So

Associate Director 

Calton joined Sun Chong Fung in 1990 and is responsible in the servicing of key accounts and advises clients particularly in the industries of retail, engineering, property development, property management, and F&B.  Calton is conversant in both commercial and personal lines products.
